The first guests were two backpackers from Belgium who asked our founder Ermal for directions to Bovilla Lake. The road was rough, the bus didn't exist, and his answer was: "Easier if I just take you." They paid for fuel and lunch, told their hostel about it, and within a month Ermal was driving travelers every weekend.
Today we're a close-knit local team (guides, skippers, drivers and the very patient people answering WhatsApp), and from day one the rule hasn't changed: we only run tours we'd take our own families on. Routes we drive ourselves, restaurants where we know the cook, guesthouses we've slept in, boats we'd trust with our kids.
Albania is getting popular, and we're glad. But we want you to see more than the famous photo spots: the mid-morning byrek, the grandmother explaining her fig trees, the swim in a cove with no name. That's the Albania we grew up in, and the one we'll show you.
